The kp index jumped this morning around 4am local time (11:00 UTC) . I was out taking photos and pointed the camera north. There was a subtle glow to the unaided eye that turned out to be the shade of aurora pink in the photos. Just before dawn. 20 sec exposure at iso 3200 f2.8
