March 24, 2025 Airglow
Woke up around 2 am to clearing skies. The auroras that were forecast didn’t appear, but instead there was a strong burst of airglow. With the unaided eye, it was hard to distinguish between the airglow and the high clouds reflecting light pollution. I saw a nice dark patch, and upon inspection, could see that it was indeed a cloud because it was blocking the light from the background stars. I looked at my SQM meter and it was coming in bright. Like 21.00. Usually its around 21.3 or above. Inspection by camera revealed a nice green glow. - West Elk Mountains of Colorado
