Woke up to clear skies around 2:30 AM local time (8:30 UTC) on April 24. The aurora app showed a substorm brewing so I set up a timelapse. The display lasted around 20 minutes centered at 8:50 UTC. Fun to watch the colors move and dance over the horizon in the gif. It was visible in the photos but not to the unaided eye. My local northern horizon isn't great with a mountain there, but still was able to catch the edge of the display. It was also visible in New Zealand, but there was no widespread storm.
